Okay you decided to accept Jesus as your Lord, what Next?

If you have decided to put Jesus is your heart as Lord of your Life and said a prayer doing so, the next step is to live your life as a Christian. Yes that’s right, the Bible calls it like it is…”Christians,” are Christ followers. If you decided to accept Jesus, you are now a Christian. The Bible also calls it being “Born again.”

It takes patience, will power, and a lot of Courage  to be a Christian in today’s world. But the only thing I can tell you is that it is worth it,Trust God.

The Bible tells us in the book of Proverbs chapter 3 and verses 4 through 10,

“So shall you find favor, good understanding, and high esteem in the sight of God and man. Lean on, trust in, and be confident in the Lord with all your heart and mind, and do not rely on your own understanding. In all your ways know, recognize, and acknowledge Him, and He will direct and  make straight and plain your paths. Be wise in your own eyes, reverently fear and worship the Lord and turn entirely away from evil.It shall be health to your nerves, sinews, marrow, and bones. Honor the Lord with your capital and sufficiency, from righteous labors, and with the firstfruits (tithes) of all your income. So shall your storage places be filled with plenty and your vats shall be overflowing with a new wine.”

If you trust God with your whole heart He will direct your path… why?

In the book of Psalms  Chapter 139 verses 13 through 17

“For you did form my inward parts; You did knit me together in my mother’s womb. I will confess and praise you for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. My Frame was not hidden from you when I was being formed in secret and intricately and curiously wrought in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed substance, and in Your Book all the days of my life were written before ever they took shape, when as yet there were none of them.”

So you see, God your Heavenly Father knew you while you were being conceived, and when that happened He began to write the book of your life. filled with His promises for you. However just like in the Garden with  Adam the first man, God gave you full control of the decisions that would take place in your life. God did not want a “yes man” He wanted someone who would Honor Him from his heart with all his being, that is why God left the decision making up  to us. Sometimes we make the wrong decision, even after we said the prayer to put Jesus in our life. That’s Okay, remember you asked Jesus to stay in your heart forever; just have remorse, be sorry for what you have done, and ask Jesus to forgive you; and you know what, He will, the Bible tells me so. You don’t have to tell anyone your sins except for your Heavenly Father, and because He made and knows you, He knows what you have done, and He is just waiting for you with open arms, to forgive you.

That’s why it takes a lot of courage to be a Christian. You have to Trust God with all your heart; sometimes that means turning completely from your current lifestyle and living a life for God. It is not easy to follow Him, but the more you do, and the more you trust Him, the easier your decision making will be because you will be following His path for your life more closely…the way He wrote it for you.
